Fall 2018 Wrap-up and Getting Ready for Spring 2019!

Good afternoon,

Congratulations on finishing up the Fall 2018 semester!  Our EPD Online Support team wanted to take a moment to pass along a few reminders to help you be fully prepared for the upcoming spring semester.  That is of course, after each of you have a well deserved winter break!

  1. First, we have mentioned our new Important Course Information page, here on the EPD Community & Support Site, but I wanted to make sure that all of you have gone and checked it out!  We have better organized our important information on this one page for students to more easily find the essential course information during enrollment. This can help you learn more about upcoming course before enrollment to help make decisions.  This information includes:
      1. The EPD Enrollment course list, which provides the information you need to register for your courses, including, enrollment number, section info, and other pertinent details.
      2. We also provide a link to example course syllabi from a good majority of our online courses.
      3. A link to our EPD Web Conference Times Master Schedule, which provides you a preview of upcoming web conference times so that you can get these into your calendars for early planning.

     

  2. Second, I wanted to remind everyone to make sure that you have completed a few tasks here in the EPD Community Site.
      1. Make sure you have joined your specific Program Group. The program groups are where students can access program-specific information, and also receive important program-specific communications through the group discussion forum.
      2. Make sure that you have subscribed to EPD Community discussion forums.  In particular, your program group discussion forum, as well as the EPD support forums (EPD student services forum and EPD tech support forum). This will ensure that you receive email notifications when there are new posts so that you don’t miss anything important.
        1. To subscribe: simply navigate into the particular discussion forum, and click the “subscribe” button above and to the right of the discussion forum title.
      3. Finally, please take a moment to update or complete your EPD Community Site user profile. Do this by navigating to “Settings >> My Profile”, in the upper right navigation menu. You can also browse and search the community directory as well to get to know your fellow EPD colleagues!

     

  3. Finally, please take a moment and make sure you have completed the end-of-semester course evaluation for each of your Fall 2018 courses. We really do value the anonymous feedback we receive, and it helps us to continuously improve our courses.  Each students should be receiving email reminders from the campus evaluation system called AEFIS.  But you can also go directly to https://aefis.wisc.edu to find the evaluation links for all the course evaluations that are still outstanding.

 

 

We hope that everyone finishes out the fall semester on a great note, and we wish everyone a wonderful winter holiday break! If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel invited to post in one of the EPD Community forums.
