Beginning Sept 9, 2019, all UW–Madison students (including student employees) will have need to enroll in multi-factor authentication (MFA-Duo). The rollout to UW Faculty and Staff began in March, 2019 and is now completed. All students will be required to enroll by October 31, 2019.  Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a commonly used technology that adds an additional step to the NetID login process, and provides an additional level of security.
