In the face of continued national tragedy, violence, hate, and bias we in Student Services want to remind you that the following resources are available:
- University Mental Health Services (UHS) is currently supporting students virtually. Services are confidential, and any enrolled UW undergraduate or graduate student is eligible. There is no charge to students for counseling sessions, because services are paid through tuition and fees.
- UHS also offers 24/7 crisis services at 608-265-5600 (option 9). This 24/7 service is always available, including weekends, holidays, semester breaks, and all summer. You can call this number and speak with a counselor any time of day or night.
- The College of Engineering’s Wellness and Wellbeing website includes links to many campus and community resources, including information on self-care.
- For UW-Madison employees, the Employee Assistance Office offers confidential appointments and resources for those in immediate crisis.
- For anyone experiencing gender-based violence, this Campus Resource Guide may help.
- Should you or anyone you know experience an incident of hate or bias, please file a Bias Incident Report with the Dean of Students Office.
- Two national resources for those experiencing or witnessing acts of hate against AAPI community members can be found here and here.
